verdict: I really liked this routine and I think they absolutely hit everything they were given, but in contrast to some of the other routines, they MIGHT be in trouble tonight

TabNap Hip-Hop to the Black Eyed Peas
verdict: Weak sauce! Paris actually hit this harder than Tony. I think Tony is absolutely freaking gorgeous and I want him on my TV as long as possible, but I don’t think he’s good enough to hang with the others at this point

Nakul Dev Mahajan Bollywood routine
verdict: Duh, this was fabulous! They got out of sync a little bit in the middle, but they got it back together and knocked it out of the park. Something high-energy like this is bound to get people voting as long as the couple doesn’t absolutely tank it

Louis van Amstel Foxtrot (AKA oh god why us??) “Come fly with me”
verdict: I thought it was well done. I hope people vote for these guys but I just don’t see it happening on a Foxtrot. They were angels gliding around on stage and her dress was floating everywhere like a beautiful cloud. Very enjoyable

The Wade Robson Crash Dummies dance
verdict: Meh. I thought it was just okay. The bizarre costumes and crazy makeup are going to keep people from connecting with this couple on the first night. Maybe I expect too much from Wade, but this wasn’t his best

Mandy Moore Contemporary “Right Here Waiting for you” by Richard Marx
verdict: Smooth as butter! Emotional and gorgeously danced! They were SO together on every step; it was amazing they could be that coordinated already. But… I forgot about this routine until I rewatched the episode this morning, so that’s not good :/

Louis van Amstel Samba
verdict: smoking hot! Just really well done and a good way to end the night. I think they ended up with the energy that poor Asuka and Vitolio were sorely missing

I think the bottom three tonight will be Asuka+Vitolio, Tony+Paris, and the other one could go a bunch of different ways. I think Asuka and Vitolio are going to get sent home. I feel bad though, this year, everyone is so sweet and great - I want them all to stay!

Unfortunately it debuted to horrible ratings. Less people watched the new episode of Pushing Daisies than watched KNIGHT RIDER. Ughh.

How could anyone not love such a witty and charming show? It is fantastical, gorgeous, and lovable, with a sneaky dark streak. Ned does either revive or kill people with his touch, after all.

If you want quality programming and not utter crap like Knight Rider to continue to be created, please buy the Season 1 DVD’s and start watching this every Wednesday at 8PM on ABC.

The clothes, the sets, everything is infused with so much obvious hard work and a delightful touch. I noticed this last night - the office doors composed of HoneyCombs at the Betty Bee Company didn’t just look like honeycombs, the doors actually opened along the seams!

It’s not just random door hinges and cute potted plants, the overall look is so gorgeous and otherworldly. The people making this show most definitely choose to make it the most it can be, and I love it too, and all their hard work.

Also, Lee Pace is damn cute

The guest judge was Adam Shankman again. He doesn’t give the most insightful commentary, but he seems like a nice guy.

Except when he’s buttering up the egos in the audience. Is it just me or was last night the most egregious choreographer/famous audience member wankering so far? Hey look, its Paula, and she appears to be sober!

Whoops! He’s just not that into you. Or women. I think?

And then there’s yet another famous choreographer in the audience. And she brought her bestest tranny friend along! Uh-oh… Actually I think that might be Joshua’s mom. Okay that was pretty low of me, but I swear that’s what I thought when I was watching it for the first time. Can we just get on with the show?

Not without giggling at Mary for a second..

I think she gets dressed every week by rolling around in a pile of broken glass and disco balls. You can keep either the scream or the bottomless collection of nightmare dresses. Pick one!

Their Viennese Waltz was smooth and beautifully danced but nonetheless doomed to obscurity by a horrible music choice. Why do they randomly insist on making these couples perform classical dances to annoying, forgettable pop music?

I thought the lift transitions were particularly well done in this routine, but Courtney and Mark may have screwed themselves by making it look TOO easy.

Effortless.

Not buying this though. Maybe if the entire thing hadn’t been set to some David Cook (is he from American Idol?) piece of sappy mediocrity, I wouldn’t have completely forgotten about this dance by the end of the show.

Their jazz routine faired a lot better. Sonya Tayeh was back, and this time she even managed to out-weird the weirdo:

Courtney is laughing, but Mark speaks “crazy” and is therefore appropriately terrified.

The song choice was interesting for this routine and it really drove them into character. “Mirah - The Garden”.

Sonya came up with some innovative moves, and a style that was refreshing on a show that tends to circle the same ground.

This little backwards flip-roll was terrific.

I think Courtney deserves to stay another week but at this point, Mark or Twitch could leave and it wouldn’t phase me.

Ahh Katee and Josh together again. Their previous partnership certainly gave them a huge boost last night.

Tyce whipped up his best choreography of the season (and he’s one of my favorites in the first place).

All by myseeeeEEEeelf. I can’t believe I enjoyed the hell out of a routine performed to Celine Dion. Next thing I know I’ll be buying Streisand CD’s and turn into one of those people that actually OWNS Titanic.

Josh is great with the overhead press. We learned that last week when Dorriana Sanchez attempted to give him a heart attack on national TV.

This move was a crowd-stunner. I wonder how long Tyce has been holding that one back for a pair who could handle it? He certainly seemed to tailor this towards Josh’s strengths and avoid having him dance a lot of traditional moves in between the lifts.

Josh may be the muscle, but Katee is so fantastically elegant and amazing to watch. I know none of these lifts and stunts would be anywhere near as good if she wasn’t holding up her end of the deal with amazing precision.

I had to go back and watch this a few times. The whole thing was just wonderful from start to finish, and Tyce is a great asset to the show. It was pretty dense with acrobatics, but Joshua managed to avoid looking clunky and awkward in the quiet parts, thanks to Tyce.

For their second go, in stark contrast to the terrible music that Courtney and Mark were saddled with for their ballroom dance, SYTYCD gave Joshua and Katee a perfect, hard-hitting, emotionally-charged piece of music for their Paso Doble.

Bam! This dance was lucky for Josh. He can’t do smooth and elegant, but he can certainly do confident and manly. Katee played his cape, and by George I believed every second of it!

This felt like one of those dances that will be remembered after the season ends.

I just realized that poor Katee spent a lot of time being flipped around, hung upside down, and dragged all over the stage last night!

I would be very surprised if either of these guys are out of the final 4. Katee is the best dancer left on the show, and Josh solidly beats out Twitch and Mark.

Their first dance was a Mambo by Tony and Meredith, and sheesh it was fast-paced. Chelsie was whipping those legs around like lightning and Twitch did his best to hang on.

Chelsie rocked the hell out of that fire-engine red dress.

She even danced some of her wardrobe off. Smokin!

There really isn’t any excuse at this point in the show for one of the dancers to crap up any particular style, but I’m glad Mary made some mention of the difficulty level here. This dance looked impossible!

Their second dance was a straight-up disappointment. Tabita and Napoleon gave them a crappy routine that was 50% mugging to the camera, 25% style, and only 20% actual dancing.

The missing 5% of the recipe got lost in Chelsie’s hair.

They basically just stood around for the first quarter of their performance! Bad TabNap. BAD!

It had some moments, but this was a total miss by the choreographers. It had a great concept, good costumes, awesome music (an instrumental version of Janet Jackson’s old hit “Control”), and completely boring dancing!

Twitch and Chelsie hammed it up appropriately and did everything they were asked, but they couldn’t make those ingredients cook up into anything spectacular.

My guess is that these two are going home tonight. Twitch just isn’t as versatile as the other two, and Chelsie is great but Katee and Courtney are better. America might like Chelsie more than Courtney though since they’ve sent Court to the bottom before.

Sorry for the below average writing today. I had a mid-week Pool league playoff match last night and I ended up having to play dead last starting my match at midnight. I’m struggling hard at work today!

Guest Choreographer Chuck Maldonado gave us a fairly average group routine. Sorry Chuck, this was kind of boring. I enjoyed the BladeRunner eye makeup though. Some of the girls were near unrecognizable.

Meh. Nothing memorable here. Since I’m posting this so late, I’m going to go heavy on the pictures and light on the jibber-jabber.

Toni Basil did enough jabbering already. Yeah we get it, you’re from the streets. Suuuuuuuure.

Let’s reminisce about the dances this week before we kvetch about how crazy all the other voters are. First up, cutie Courtney gets paired with America’s most technically skilled SYTYCD star, Will.

They rocked out a Jean Marc Samba to “I fell in Love with the DJ”. It was high-energy, but a little frantic if you ask me. Might have been the first dance of the night jitters.

I think SYTYCD must be having a fabric shortage and they’re taking it out on poor Courtney.

It’s no Courtney-Gev chemistry but they made it clear they were having fun. Their performance was entertaining.

Legs Legs Legs in case you forgot.

They also tackled a Tabitha and Napoleon Hip-Hop. Smooth/slow hip-hop is always a crapshoot on this show. Great choreography can make the dance, but this one was sort of lacking, and I think the dancers had nothing to grab onto.

Frankly, I barely remembered this routine the next day.

Courtney’s Solo:

Courtney was one of my favorites when she was dancing with Gev, but her solos are starting to wear on me. She managed to hit every single contemporary cliché in her 30 second solo.

Will, on the other hand, brought the freaking house down by channeling James Brown.

The judges have been leaning into him about showing personality for so long now; he finally does it, and America doesn’t respond. What the hell America?

Haha best solo of the season.

Twitch and Katee picked some lucky routines out of the hat. Mia Michaels found yet another prop to use for their contemporary routine, but for some reason I didn’t hate it.

Katee makes everything look fantastic and this dance showcased her a lot more than Twitch. Twitch’s part was mostly acting and walking around, with very little actual dancing going on.

Loved that part ^

This pair also got a fun Tyce Broadway routine.

Katee’s red dress was smokin’, and this sort of costuming makes a visual impression on the audience. Lucky pick, but great job bringing it to life anyways.

I think they look Gorgeous. Does Katee have a shot at winning this whole thing over Joshua or Twitch?

Her solo at least convinces me she is the best girl left in the competition.

It’s a little too sappy and contemporary but she still manages to put some of herself into it. Twitch on the other hand,

turns in his most boring Solo to date. He does the same moves over and over and basically walks around mugging to the audience. I betcha he won’t be taking his solo so lightly in the future.

Mark gets stuck with double-chance girl, Comfort, but their first routine isn’t bad. TabNap choreo a fun little piece about two kids stuck in detention.

Cheater Cheater Pumpkin Eater

Mark manages to hang with Comfort. I didn’t think he looked out of place. I guess Hawaiians can be “street” too. Sure Toni.

Nigel agreed that Mark held up his end of the deal; Comfort practices her stank-face like usual.

Despite a decent first routine, they manage to pull Foxtrot from the hat

It was pretty awful. It was a succession of moves and poses strung together poorly, and everyone could tell how hard they were thinking just to get through it.

I had it’s moments, but by the end I’m sure Mark is thinking,

Please get this woman off of me.

Comfort’s solo is an arm flapping, crotch grabbing copy of all her other solos.

Sorry Comfort, I don’t dislike you, you’re just not versatile enough to hang with the remaining dancers.

Mark’s solo is an enigma to me like usual. It’s not particularly graceful, skilled or interesting. It includes two identical leaps from the stairs, and some bizarre chicken clucking arm thing. Why are people still voting for him? What am I missing?

Wunderkid Josh and hips hips hips Chelsie got started with an Argentine Tango.

YAY Dmitry is back to instruct! Hello gorgeous!

I wouldn’t say this is the best Tango ever done on the show, but it was pretty spectacular, at least as far as hitting all the moves.

There was no actual chemistry between the two, but they still manage not to make it look fake, which happens often with new pairs.

PS. Legs Legs Legs.

Josh and Chelsie also got to close the show with a Dorianna Sanchez Disco-extravaganza!

Josh nearly falls on his ass in the first 20 seconds, but none of the judges even mentioned it.

Dorianna gave them this fantastic lift, and Chelsie manages to flip over and face upwards in mid-spin. Amazing.

I was getting a little scared for Chelsie that Josh might be getting tired. The rest of the routine actually lost a little umpph after this. Having to do this routine last of the night, after one other dance and a solo too, was really asking a lot of them.

Nice finale to the night.

Haha. Turns out Joshua is human after all.

Chelsie’s solo suffers from Latin Ballroom “I don’t know what to do without a partner” disease, but she can really shake those hips.

She tries a little something extra at the beginning. I don’t know what more you can ask of these ballroom dancers.

Josh just keeps on turning out the goods. It wasn’t his most thought-out solo but he kept it fresh, hit it pretty hard and was definitely entertaining.

The results show was once again, WACKY!

I enjoyed the guest dancers from the Los Angeles Ballet.

I was most struck, however, by how close to this skill level Will and Katee were able to perform doing their Pas De Deux last week. I’m sure some ballet aficionado could jump down my throat, but this professional performance made me appreciate Will & Katee even more, for what they were able to accomplish in 3 days.

Who knew LL Cool J was still relevant?

My husband said he knew that LL had a new album, but that in no way does that actually make him relevant.

LL loves Cool James.

First surprise of the night - Mark is SAFE

And nobody is more surprised that Mark!

Seriously, are people voting for him just to catch him making insane faces?? Because I’m down with that.

Twitch is in the bottom two and absolutely freaks out and becomes human for a moment. I think he realizes he’s not going to slide through without some serious effort.

So Comfort went home, as was proper, but what the heck happened to send Twitch and Will to the bottom two? Over confidence in your favorite, maybe? Like people just expecting everyone else to vote for them, and voting for their second favorite instead? Or did Will just never connect with the audience? We’ll never know I guess, but I fear this competition is heading too far towards a popularity contest and losing it’s dance reputation.

I guess “Environmentally Responsible” is sort of cool too.

The second challenge this season started off with an “Oh Crap” from the contestants as they learned that their models would head off to Mood for some unsupervised materials shopping.

Keanu Reeves thinks that is “Totally Bogus dude”.

Cue a dozen models running around unfamiliar surroundings like a pack of Chihuahuas loose in PetSmart.

According to Tim’s Take, this craziness was made manageable by directing the owners of the shop to pre-mark everything that fit the “Green” rules of the challenge with little tags.

I was wondering how all the models knew which fabrics would be allowed in this challenge. Those dashing little arrows were drawn with a mouse, so take pity on me please.

A bunch of the models end up picking the same fabrics, except this one:

flaunts her insanity and unwitting ability to sabotage her designer by purchasing a handfull of peacock feathers:

I was so dissapointed we didn’t get to see one of these poor bastards having to choose between those feathers and an angry model!

Tim wrangles the models back to Parsons, where this guy prays for something other than “Remnants of Nonsense”:

Joe, Wesley and LeAnne all end up with the same ugly brown fabric, but some definitely soldier on better than others.

Leanne gets in a good dig about Suede talking about Suede in the 3rd person, and then loses her freaking mind and starts attaching random loops of brown gravy to her dress, which is quickly becoming a trainwreck.

The only redeeming feature of her dress is that it isn’t quite as hideous as Wesley’s. Even his model looks pissed! Props to Joe for doing a half-way decent job with the same deadly fabric.

It’s boring but at least I don’t want to club it to death before it attacks.

Stella will not shut up about wishing she were working with leather for every challenge and Blayne turns out to be kind of funny when he’s not desperately pretending to be Christian Siriano. Girlicious? I so want to hate you Blayne.

Bravo is trying to keep this under wraps, but later this season, Stella actually skins Blayne for his leathery orange hide.

Stella freaks out and nearly repeats last weeks performance, but she decides at the last minute to make something in her own style. The dress turned out pretty nice, although I swear it made her emaciated model look fat in the stomach area, which is a neat trick that would come in handy at bars.

The judges put her in the top 3, which I think is debatable, but they were probably giving her improvement points.

Although, this early in the competition, competent mediocrity is probably the safest bet. PS Go Joe!

We also got the best moment of the night, where Tim Gunn’s unflappable poise actually cracks for a second..

Sure you do Tim. You are so damn polite. I love you. I actually liked the finished look of the exposed seams a little bit, if she had managed to pull it all together:

..but speaking as a curvier girl, I don’t think butt fins are really the way to go. I bet she would be really aerodynamic if she could run sideways like a crab. Or she could be one of the flippers in a gigantic Voltron-style Scuba Superhero.

Natalie agrees:

On the flip side, (sorry), there were some great designs last night. I’m not sure how they’re going to mass-produce Suede’s amazingly complicated dress, but I sure liked it and I’m glad they didn’t punk out and choose something else because of the linked prize.

Suede thinks that Suede did a great job with the limited material that Suede had to work with. Suede.

I keep wanting to call this girl Bentley for some reason. I enjoy her designs though and I’m betting she’s going to be here at the end, showing her stuff in Bryant Park.

Kenley’s was a strong second, although I’m not sure how I feel about yet another poofy collar making the grade, and how the judges never seem to get tired of them.

The poofy collar is so inherently unwearable that it belongs in only 3 places - on a Paris runway, on 18th century Royalty, or helping to hide the adams apple of a FABULOUS drag queen.

Let this be the last time, please judges? Christian beat this one into the ground and then stomped on its corpse with his tiny little feet, and I’m sick of seeing it.

I thought these were nice jobs by Terri, Kelli & Emily (in that order):

Kelli couldn’t help the color of the fabric and Emily’s has some good ideas even though it’s WAY too short.

Blayne’s is a hot pink clubwear nightmare, but with great construction and a flattering fit. Daniel’s does a decent Gothic Lolita, and Jennifer makes the most of trying to turn T-shirt material into a cocktail dress. I thought it was the most unique of the night as well.

This one, however:

EGADS! How did this escape the judges derision? This thing is horrifying! The fit in the torso is atrocious too. I thought her allusion to boobs might be revealed at any moment. Plus, how much would that ITCH? Imagine wearing that all night, walking through New York City, and oh - imagine it’s 90 degrees out, and humid.

Exactly.

If you think anyone other than Comfort and Mark is going home, state your case. I find it quite funny that without even seeing the episode, I am still convinced that tonight’s results were pre-ordained.

Seriously, what a wacky results show.

The group numbers were good last night, but the Bollywood was surprisingly unexciting after that awesome routine that the same choreographer did for Joshua and Katee.

Too much to learn in too little time. Too many people to focus. I liked the more “authentic” dance last week better though.

Still fun!

I liked the guys’ routine, choreographed (mostly) by Nigel. Who was actually shocked when they revealed that? lol.

The girls’ routine was typical Mia Michaels. I did enjoy the use of the edge of the stage.

The visuals including the lighting, make-up, and costume creation were lovely.

And as usual, Mia encourages some cringe-worthy overacting

For elimination, we get Comfort and Kherington in the bottom two. This one didn’t matter as much to me, because Kherington seemed to have a bad attitude during this week’s competition. I think despite the cracks appearing in her perfect character since losing Twitch, she deserved to stay longer than Comfort, but voters didn’t want to kick Comfort off the show two weeks in a row.

One bad week and you’re out of there. She got a bit of a rough deal with Comfort coming back, but that’s life I guess.

The real shocker of the evening was Mark vs. Gev! Gev by the way, turned in his most impressive solo to date, not to suggest that his previous solos were anything less than fantastic.

Most of me knows that Gev was either going home this week or next, because there are no “poor” dancers left on the show, and Will, Twitch and Joshua are just too popular and charismatic to go down before him, but Gev leaving before Mark was just insanity.

Mary Murphy tells him flat out that his solos are the best the show has ever seen, and that his ability to do ballroom and Broadway is spectacular in context of his street dancing background.

And then Wammo! We’ll miss you Gev. He was my favorite dancer left in the competition. I wanted to see more dances from him, so I feel cheated. There is a big theory that the Hawaii voting block is loyal and huge, and they may have kept Mark from going home this time.

New additions to the loser’s lounge:

So if you didn’t already cheat and look it up on the internet, Jessica was booted last night for a few broken ribs, and comfort is back in her place for (one?) more competition.

I know of some dudes that will be very sad to see her go. So, see ya later Chestica. This isn’t a huge game-altering development because she was likely on her way out soon anyways.

On with the show!

It may be Comfort that came back from the dead but it was Courtney Galiano dressed up like the Bride of Frankenstein for a cute Hip-Hop number by Dave Scott.

I normally think Courtney is pretty solid in the hip-hop department, but she came off a little weak last night, at least paired up with Josh for this routine. I still liked it.

Second, they drew a Rumba with Jean Marc to the song “Hero”:

I wish they would stop putting Joshua in this tight Latin outfit and give him a nice suit to wear for these numbers. Routine was pretty good.

Courtney’s solo was the weakest I remember her dancing, but it was still second to third best of the night, with Kherington’s solidly in the bottom.

Josh’s solo was hard-hitting, but oddly over-macho. I think the judges are pushing him to be “buck”, and it doesn’t suit him.

This IV Real thing better have a short half-life. It’s already getting on my nerves.

Overall, my guess is they’re both safe. Courtney may be in the bottom 3, but she’s not going home.

It was a tragic night for these two, especially Kherington. She’s acting like she has the flu, dancing with zero energy, missing the connections with her partner, and losing any bit of personality in between.

Maybe she fell apart because their routines last night were fairly difficult in the aggregate.

Their two-step was the worst routine of the entire night. I give Marc credit, he was practically dragging his partner around the floor. The choreographers also seemed like they were trying to make their style of dance look the most difficult by having the dancers fail miserably at it. Maybe that was just me, but they came off as jerks during the teaser.

Their jazz with Tyce was also unispiring, even with an awesome Jamiroquai song to dance to.

Yeah, that’s how I felt too after watching it.

Marc’s solo was interesting, simply by avoiding the contemporary clichés we seem to be getting from so many of the dancers. ie. Jump up, slam body to floor, reach out wanting.. etc.

I just wish he would pick some better clothes. I don’t even know how to classify his look; I just know I hate it. He’s like the weird kid on the bus that smells funny.

Kherington’s solo was worthless. She is sleep walking out there. I would totally punch a panda to have that butt though.

Prediction: Kherington in the bottom and possibly going home, maybe only saved by Comfort going instead. Marc will be in the bottom 3, possibly going home.

Comfitch had only days to practice both routines and I’m surprised the judges didn’t mention this a bit more before the voting. Granted, I would still prefer Comfort go home before any of the other girls, but it seemed unfair enough to warrant a mention.

They pull a smooth waltz, during which they do a decent but pretty emotionless job.

Good thing Twitch has baseball glove mitts instead of hands.

They kill the hip-hop. The crowd loves it. The judges love it. I thought it was fairly good. Then I remember how they only had 1 or 2 days to practice, and I give them a bonus star.

I also enjoyed the outfits, which wouldn’t have been out of place in a Mystery Science Theatre 3000 movie pick.

Comfort’s solo was a carbon copy of her other solos, with maybe a little variation, like the carbon slid off to the side a little and you couldn’t line it back up just right.

Personally, I thought Twitch’s solo felt a little lazy.

I was surprised to find out the song “I Question Mark” is credited to Wade Robson. Is that considered sucking up?

I predict that Comfort is going home again tonight, unless America is willing to stop voting for Kherington after 1 (1.5) bad nights. Twitch isn’t going anywhere before Mark. Too popular.

These really are the two most technical dancers on the show, and it was fun to see them together. I think lots of people thought Katee wouldn’t hold up as well without Joshua, but she’s fantastic!

Their first routine was a Tyce Broadway. I thought they nailed it, even if at times the choreography was a little repetitive. Bad Tyce Bad.

I liked the little Titanic Homage.

Their second routine was the first ever Ballet routine on SYTYCD. Pas de Deux basically means “Dance for Two”, and it can be a short routine even within a full ballet.

The judges really sucked up to the choreographers like mad, but if that brings these guys back, then it was worth it. Maybe. This routine was so beautifully danced.. I really don’t think any other pair on the show could have done it justice.

Katee’s solo was my favorite women’s solo last night. She danced it like she put some planning and effort into it, and danced it 100%.

Will’s solo was awesome too. Does anyone else think that “Dance with My Father” being performed by Luther Vandross and a male dancer is just slightly non-sensical?

Will and Katee are both staying.. No doubt about it.

My little Gevie-poo picked up a strong ballroom dancer for the night, and she helps out a ton on the second dance. First though, they did Sonya’s take on contemporary to an Otis Redding song.

I found it memorable, and it showed off both their ability to operate outside of their normal style. I also liked the costumes. I’m such a nerd.

I also liked this part.

Moving on.. I thought their Jive was pretty good. They certainly stomped it out with energy. Can’t fault them there.

I hate to keep harping on wardrobe, but can they please take some time to figure out which clothes are flattering to different guys? Gev is NOT Benji Schwimmer.

I know this because he looks SO cute here in his normal clothes

He had a bit of a mistake at the beginning of his solo, but he came back and knocked it out anyways. He consistently does better solos that Twitch or imho Joshua.

Chelsie had a great solo too, especially for the first of the night. I always think Ballroom is the hardest genre to solo in, so maybe I give too much credit.

I think Gev and Chelsie are both staying, though the way people are voting, they may be near the bottom. They shouldn’t be!
