So You Think You Can Dance Season 5. Top 20 Perform!
Woah! What a great show last night. That was probably the best starting night of SYTYCD so far! This is going to be a killer season!

Just posting some LG Dare wallpapers I whipped up today when I was bored. All images are 240×400 and sized just right for the Dare. The ones with bars on the top correspond to the row of service icons along the top of your phone. I put instructions for getting these wallpapers onto your phone at the bottom of this post.
Don’t forget, you can turn off the Verizon banner in the display menu under ERI Banner.

To use these wallpapers on your phone without linking to your computer:
1. Right click on the image and click “Save As…”
2. Save the image to your computer
3. Go to your email account and compose an email to yourphonenumber@vzwpix.com (ex: 5551230987@vzwpix.com)
4. Attach the wallpaper you saved in Step 2 to the email and then click send
5. You will receive a PIX message on your Dare
6. Open the message and click on the options menu in the bottom right of your phone
7. Select “Save Picture” and then click “Save”
8. Go into My Pictures on your Dare and click the options menu again and Select “Set As” and then “Wallpaper”
Wow! Fantastic show last night! Lots of great choreography - punctuated by Mary Murphy letting out the most obnoxious harpy-scream in the history of SYTYCD.

We know how you feel Nigel.
I finally picked up a copy of the performance and elimination episodes. Some TV pirate was asleep at the wheel last week =P

Guest Choreographer Chuck Maldonado gave us a fairly average group routine. Sorry Chuck, this was kind of boring. I enjoyed the BladeRunner eye makeup though. Some of the girls were near unrecognizable.
When Tim first said Green, I thought he meant the color. I mean, Look at the backdrop!

I guess “Environmentally Responsible” is sort of cool too.
The second challenge this season started off with an “Oh Crap” from the contestants as they learned that their models would head off to Mood for some unsupervised materials shopping.

Keanu Reeves thinks that is “Totally Bogus dude”.
I don’t have much to post today, and I’m going to have to skip the play-by-play because a storm caused my cable to go in and out last night during the show. For some reason, the full episode hasn’t been posted yet at PirateBay either, so I can’t review it or take screenshots.
If you think anyone other than Comfort and Mark is going home, state your case. I find it quite funny that without even seeing the episode, I am still convinced that tonight’s results were pre-ordained.
Someone slapped this little compilation onto YouTube. It’s a quick cut of all the instances of a running gag throughout the movie where Mike and the robots make up increasingly ridiculous names for the main (Meathead) character.
If you’ve never seen Space Mutiny, it’s one of the best Mystery Science Theatre 3000 episodes in their entire 198 episode run. If you’ve never seen Mystery Science Theatre at all - it’s a fantastic introduction to the series. You can start watching Space Mutiny on YouTube here.
FYI the creaters are incredibly cool about sharing and downloading of their work since the show is no longer on TV, and very few episodes are available commercially. They only ask that you don’t download the few that are sold by Rhino. Space Mutiny is one of the episodes you can purchase, so if you like it, buy it.
A great source of episodes is here at the Digital Archive Project torrent tracker. If you have a good connection, don’t let the low number of seeds scare you. You can still pick up some gems in as little as a few hours.
BRICK HARDMEAT! GRISTLE McTHORNBODY!
Shenanigans!! This post is subtitled, “America is full of big jerks who made Courtney Cry!”

Seriously, what a wacky results show.
This will have to be a shorter recap today. I got booted out of my office for a few hours because they needed to pull some control wires through the conduit directly above my desk. They said it would take 15 minutes! Good estimating guys..

So if you didn’t already cheat and look it up on the internet, Jessica was booted last night for a few broken ribs, and comfort is back in her place for (one?) more competition.
Just a really quick post today about the most mind-bending show I’ve seen in quite some time. I’m not exactly sure how I feel about it, but I think the ticket to enjoyment here is probably just to avoid thinking altogether.
I believe that I enjoy it, in a “What the Hell did I just watch” sort of way.

The basic idea is, take a bunch of American Stereotypes and launch them full-speed into a manufactured Japanese gameshow, then point and laugh as awkward hijinks ensue.
